It’s a passion of mine to foster a type of independence within my patients where we work together to get you to a place where you have the knowledge and the tools to be your own healer.– Ella
My life, over the past decade, has been a series of serendipitous events that have led me all over the country and eventually landed me here, in North Carolina. While studying Anthroplogy and Geology during my undergrad, I attended the Hudson Vally School of Massage Therapy to earn my license to practice massage therapy. It was here where I decided to persue a career in alternative medicine. Not long after graduating, I packed up my things and moved out to Colorado where I attended the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I spent the next four years learning the theories and practices of the ancient masters, and learning how to heal my own ailments. Through this, I discovered how important it is that we be present in our own healing. It has, since, become a passion of mine to foster a type of independence within my patients where we work together to get you to a place where you have the knowledge and the tools to be your own healer. I have also discovered over the years that my journey through this medicine will never end, and for that reason I am currently studying under two practitioners in Asheville, from whom I’ve been learning how to tangibly manipulate the Qi in the body to create better results. My studies with these practitioners will continue for the next three years while I intern with them.
