Alicia A. Ayoub, LMBT
Alicia has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005, having completed her training at the American Spirit Institute in Williamsburg , Va. She specializes in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. Tui Na and energy work may be incorporated into the bodywork as well. Alicia’s philosophy is that massage therapy is a tool which a person can utilize to benefit their physical and mental well- being. Every massage is unique for each individual’s personal needs. After a brief consultation, Alicia employs whichever techniques are most helpful for the client. Alicia has also trained in Level 1 Healing Touch and Qi Gong.
Jean Snipes: Nutritional and Personal Health Consultant
Jean Snipes is a native of South Dakota and has lived in Tryon since 1996. A registered nurse and nurse practitioner by training, she received her education at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota and the University of North Dakota. Jean has worked in a variety of settings as a nurse practitioner including small group family practice; as well as primary care cardiology in a multi-specialty group; urgent care and in an inner city primary care clinic serving a largely minority population. She served as the nurse practitioner provider and subsequently the Center Director of the rural health clinic site in Saluda, North Carolina from 1997-2003.
Jean has had a strong interest in complementary and alternative medicine and natural health for many years. After a serious illness, she decided to obtain a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Natural Health. Jean has also attended the Living Foods Institute in Atlanta, GA and completed the 10-day training program in the raw and living foods lifestyle. Her passion is to empower others in search of vibrant health using her conventional medicine background and expertise in complementary and alternative medicine.
Previous volunteer activities have been with Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Mountain Microenterprise Fund (now Mountain Bizworks) and Thermal Belt Business Wellspring. She holds professional certifications in geriatrics and family medicine.
