I also share my gifts and medicine in Women’s Retreat. These retreats provide a safe and sacred vessel to remember who you are, reconnect with you divine essence, get clarity about your purpose, empower and illuminate your strengths.
My journey in the healing arts began in 1986. I became a spiritual seeker. My sojourn began with studying metaphysical Christanity. I resonated deeply with these teachings and felt guided to become a Unity Minister. Unity belief system is metaphysical Christianity.
My next teachers were two lovely souls that shared generously their knowledge with me. One was a Chiropractor and the other a D.O. I learned about juicing, sprouting and eating healthy, Aikido and Thai Massage.
In 1990 I became interested in Reiki and became a practitioner and in 1997 became a Reiki/Master teacher and started teaching Reiki.
In 1990 I also met an amazing Siddha from India. She is a Siddha yoga meditation world teacher and she is connected to an unbroken lineage. I have been immersed in this Yoga for the past 25 years. I have served in leadership roles in this organization while living in Atlanta, Georgia. I have coordinated the philanthropic arm, The Prasad project of this organization. The skills that this opportunity gave me in the following areas I served as a leader are :- logistic co-ordinator for special programs, flower arranging, security, music director, orientation. I learned to play the Mhrdung (Indian classical drum), cymbals, Tamboura, Harmonium. This music training supports my playing in Kirtan with my group Ananda Taranga.
My next adventure, I started to work as a post-partum Doula. I did this for ten years. This amazing experience taught me non-verbal communication and deep listening skills. I called them my little Angels (the newborns). From this connection I became close with A prominent OB/GYN in Atlanta, I continue to a part of her and her family lives. This is an honorable and precious gift.
I have also studied with native American teachers. Having a deep desire to connect with my Mayan Indian roots I searched for a teacher. I have had teachers of the following tribes:- Cherokee, Apache, Lumbee, Arapho. I incorporate native ceremonies in my 2hr native American ceremonial hot stones to include the drums, songs and smudging.
In 2000, I moved to Atlanta to Asheville. I went to a local massage school to become a liscened Massage/Bodyworker. I have speciality training and certification in:- Cranial sacral, Reflexology, Swedish, Thai massage, shiatsu, deep Tissue, Hot Stones. As an Educator I teach Reiki and Hot Stones.
