CREDENTIALS & CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Mary Burke-Pitts received my Master’s Degree in Classical Chinese Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina. She is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. She currently teaches Chinese Herbal Medicine at Daoist Tradition College as well as supervising students in clinical training at the Daoist Traditions College Acupuncture Clinic.
TRAINING & TREATMENT STYLES
Her goal as a clinician is to support health and longevity practices that promote the body’s own healing capacity. Some specialities include mental and emotional wellness as well as women’s health. The focus is to make vital changes and clear out old thoughts and habits that may cause disease. She is committed to empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to support their own healing from within. Some other examples of her focus includes: women’s health, diet therapy and herbal medicine. Her practice also heavily incorporates the classics she learned from her teacher, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, master of Chinese medicine and 88th generation Daoist priest. Mary has pursued training in internal martial arts including meditation and tai chi sword.

She is passionate about health care, gardening, and beekeeping and teaching. She is very interested in topics of Daoism such as philosophy. She is very committed to empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to support their own healing from within.
