Acupuncture and The VA Community Care Program
Acu-Na Wellness Center is VA Community Care Provider
We are so grateful for our veterans’ services to our country. Acu-Na Wellness Center has been participating in the VA Community Care Program (formerly the VA Choice Program) for over 2 years now. It has come to our attention that many veterans are unaware of this program and its’ benefits. With this program, veterans could get many services outside of the VA such as acupuncture at our wellness center. Using this program does NOT impact your existing VA healthcare, and/or any other VA benefit.
Guide to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – Benefits and How it Works
How to have your acupuncture covered with the VA Community Care Program
- Schedule a consult with your primary care physician at the VA and let them know that you would like to get acupuncture treatments via the VA Community Care Program.
- Be sure to communicate with your physician that you would like to receive your treatments at Acu-Na Wellness Center. VA Physicians are very supportive for you to receive acupuncture for your pain.
- Once approved through the VA, Acu-Na Wellness Center will contact you to set up your initial appointment/consultation. The VA will send us your approval paperwork with the number of covered treatments over a specified period of time.
We work directly with the VA Community Center Office for payment, thus, there is NO COST TO YOU!
